Diane Harper was born and raised in the small historic town of Lockport, New York. She lived and worked in the area until she began her career as a flight attendant for a major airline. Diane uses Lockport as the setting for her mystery novels and incorporates the town's remarkable history in the stories. Diane and her husband, Ron, were residing in Jacksonville, Florida, when she retired in 2000 to stay at home with her two young children. Diane became an avid volunteer at their elementary school. She chaired several board positions such as Homeroom Mom, Historian and Book Fair Coordinator, and was honored with a lifetime PTA membership for her years of service and commitment. In 2003, Diane began working at St. Johns Golf and Country Club, a semi-private club managed by the Billy Casper Corporation. She enjoyed nine years in the Beverage Cart Sales, Instruction and Training Department. In November of 2011, Diane Harper established her own independent publishing company called HayMarBooks, LLC. Diane's first novel, Love, Greed and Lie$, published in 2012, won honorable mention in the 2013 New England Book Festival Awards, and is a recent 2016 Finalist in the Eric Hoffer Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing. The Lost Twin, her newly released novel has won several awards in their own right. The National Association of Book Entrepreneurs (NABE) Spring 2015 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Best Book in the Category of Mystery. The Lost Twin is also a Silver medalist in the 2015 Florida Authors and Publishers (FAPA) Presidents Award for Adult Fiction: General and the 2015 FAPA Presidents Award for Best Cover. Diane writes and illustrates children's chapter books as the Jace Adventure Series. Her recent titles, Jace's Adventure in the Forbidden Forest and Jace's Adventure at Crystal Lagoon won the Gold and Silver medals, respectively, in the Children’s Fiction category at the 2014 Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) President’s Awards, and The Forbidden Forest won honorable mention at the 2015 Holiday Book Festival.
